GALAXY NUTRITIONAL FOODS TO ANNOUNCE 3RD QUARTER FISCAL 2001 RESULTS ON FEBRUARY 13, 2001

ORLANDO, Florida (February 8, 2001) - Galaxy Nutritional Foods, Inc. (AMEX: GXY), a leading producer of delicious and nutritious, plant based and health-promoting dairy and dairy related alternatives for the retail, foodservice and industrial markets, intends to release its fiscal 2001 third quarter financial results for the period ended December 31, 2000 before the market opens on Tuesday, February 13, 2001.

The Company will host a conference call and simultaneous webcast the morning of February 13 at 11:00 a.m. (ET) to discuss the results and recent corporate developments. Galaxy Nutritional Foods Chief Executive Officer Angelo Morini and Chief Financial Officer Keith Ewing will be on the call.
