(ORLANDO, FL - January 28, 1998) In response to consumer concern about a report stating plastic cling-type wrap used on cheeses and meats found in supermarkets may contain the harmful ingredient DEHA, Galaxy Foods is proud to confirm the wrap used on its products is DEHA-free and is approved by the FDA.

Angelo Morini, president and CEO, states, "What makes our product safe is our revolutionary method of manufacturing. We produce our cheese using a HOT PROCESS, meaning the cheese is poured into the wrap while it is at a pasteurized temperature, totally filling the wrap and eliminating the need for a cling-type plastic. Other manufacturers use a cold process which requires a plastic wrap that will shrink to fit the cheese."

Galaxy's hot process is beneficial in other ways.
