| Carbon Offsets and Our Program
If you've read pretty much anything, or even turned on the television recently, then you probably know that
carbon dioxide emissions are considered a major source of global warming. So it's a good thing that over 75%* of
our shipped product pounds were produced in facilities participating in the Department of Energy's "Save Energy Now"

Beyond this, we've partnered with Carbonfund.org to offset the freight from shipping our products to you
as well as the the emissions associated with our corporate office. As a matter of fact, we are the first
food company to partner with Carbonfund.org to offset our freight.
Our donations to Carbonfund.org will be used to support a combination of carbon reduction projects.
The allocation is based on your feedback, so be sure to read on and cast your vote.
These projects fall under three main categories:
Renewable Energy Projects:
Supports clean energy development, such as wind and solar power.
Energy Efficiency:
Reduces existing energy use by purchasing and retiring carbon credits from participating exchanges.
Reforestation:
Plants and protects trees to increase
absorption of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
