We are excited to announce the Galaxy Nutritional Foods Recipe Contest. This is meant to be an opportunity for users of our cheese alternatives to share their recipes, acknowledge the vast amount of talented home cooks out there, inspire new ways to use cheese alternatives, and identify different and improved ways of substituting cheese alternatives in dishes that normally call for cheese.

Galaxy Nutritional Food Recipe Contests

1. Between January and December 2011, we will solicit original recipes for four different themes (e.g. Your Best Risotto Dish and A Recipe Using Mushrooms and Galaxy Nutritional Foods Swiss Soy or Rice Slices). You will have 8 days to submit recipes. Contests will be announced on the Galaxy Facebook Wall and this blog. No worries we will give ample notice when each contest is about to start. Recipes will be submitted to galaxyrecipecontest@gmail.com.
2. We will pick five finalists (which we will test and photograph), then post them here for you to vote on. The three final recipes will be chosen based on taste and creativity.
3. Voters will have five days to cast votes on this Blog (by commenting on a post).
4. Once the votes have been tallied (the dish with the most votes wins *note only one vote per source) the winning recipe will be posted on this blog and the winner sent a prize (to be announced, trust us it is good). The runners-up will also have their recipes posted on this blog and receive prizes (really good, just not as grand as first place).

Galaxy Nutritional Foods Recipe Contest Terms

1. Only original recipes may be submitted. If your recipe was inspired by another source (a published one i.e. on a blog or cookbook not authored originally by you) that is fine, but you need to tell us how you changed it and include a link to the original source. Plagiarism in the eyes of this contest’s organizers is the same as theft and will not be tolerated.
2. A recipe may only be submitted once. (For example if Risotto with Mushrooms and Swiss is submitted in a January contest it may not be submitted again in the April contest).
3. You may only vote once for each contest, but you may vote for your own recipe. If you do not like a recipe do not vote for it. Constructive criticism is fine, just remember everyone has feelings and different taste buds.
4. PRIVACY: By entering and providing the required entry information, entrants acknowledge that Galaxy may also send to entrant information, samples or special offers it believes may be of interest to entrant about Galaxy publications or other complementary goods or services offered by Galaxy. Information collected from entrants is subject to Galaxy’s privacy policy. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO SHARE YOUR INFORMATION, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS PROMOTION.
5. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Except where prohibited by law, by participating Contest entrants agree that: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participant(s) and Galaxy and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Contest, or awarding of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Minnesota. Entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Contest, entrant agrees as follows: (a) that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or awarding of the prizes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
6. OTHER: Galaxy assumes no responsibility for entries or votes it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, stolen or lost entries or votes. Galaxy reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the voting process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Galaxy further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention, force majeure or any other causes beyond the control of the Galaxy which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the contest. In the event of cancellation, Galaxy reserves the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation.
