Food & Nutrition
Galaxy is proud to produce cheese alternatives that fulfill people’s need for cheese with healthier plant-based options. And, for added nutritional benefits, we may fortify our products with extra calcium or other essential vitamins and minerals. Nutrition is important to Galaxy, so we’ve partnered with other companies of similar missions. Currently, we support the following organizations:
Vitamin Angels - One third of all childhood deaths are attributable to undernutrition. Vitamin Angels is changing that. For young children, essential nutrients help build the foundation for good health and the opportunity to lead meaningful and productive lives. Vitamin Angel’s mission is to mobilize and deploy private sector resources to advance availability, access and use of micronutrients, especially vitamin A, among at-risk populations in need.
Galaxy supports Vitamin Angels by contributing to it’s quarterly Earthfare publication offering discounts to natural foods shoppers nationwide. To learn more about Vitamin Angels, click here.
McAuley House - A part of McAuley Ministries, an independent non-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and rooted in the ideals of their founder, Catherine McAuley. The ministry provides the basic needs of food clothing, shelter, health services, emotional support and guidance to the most vulnerable in our community. Our core values are hospitality, compassion and dignity.
Galaxy supports McAuley House through product donations and support for events such as the 4th annual Healthy Body Mind and Spirit Fest - an opportunity to help individuals facing economic challenges better understand how they can lead healthy lives.
Rhode Island Food Bank - An organization working to end hunger in our state by providing food to people in need. Together with the food bank, we envision a day when all Rhode Islanders have access to nutritious food and a healthy lifestyle.
Galaxy supports the community food bank with product donations on a regular basis.
In addition to the local food bank programs, we also offer national food donations to the following organizations:

- Paul’s Pantry – Greenbay, WI
Galaxy is also a member of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce.
