Tofu Vegan Sausage Breakfast Sandwich
- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 1 package of medium tofu
- 1 link of Field Roast Vegan Smoked Apple Sage Grain Meat Sausage
- 2 slices of GO Veggie! Dairy Free, Vegan Slices in American flavor
- 1 red bell pepper
Cut open the sausage link and break up into pieces in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook 3-5 minutes until warm and slightly browned. Set aside.
Use a biscuit cutter to create round circles of your lightly toasted sandwich bread.
Turn the tofu on its side, slicing two 1/2-inch thick pieces from the block. Use your biscuit cutter to create round tofu circles.
Thinly slice two red pepper rings.
Using your Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker, stack into the pre-heated machine in this sequence: Bread, Tofu slice, Vegetarian Sausage, Slice of GO Veggie!, Red Pepper Ring, Bread
Allow sandwich to warm for 5 minutes. Repeat step 5 for the second sandwich. Serve with side of salsa, if desired.
