CREAM CHEESE SWIRLED ALMOND BUTTER OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHUNK BARS

Lactose Intolerant Vegan Dairy Free

Ingredients

1 cup coconut sugar

1 cup natural almond butter

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour

1/4 cup old fashioned oats

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips/chunks

4 ounces GO VEGGIE Plain Cream Cheese

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Line an 8x8" baking dish with foil or parchment paper. If using foil, grease with cooking spray.

In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat together coconut sugar, almond butter, and vanilla for 1 minute, until well combined.

Add flour, oats, baking powder, salt, and almond milk, and beat until combined.

Fold in chocolate chunks.

Spread into prepared pan.

In a separate bowl with electric mixer, beat cream cheese, coconut sugar, and vanilla until well combined.

Dollop over bars and swirl with a butter knife.

Bake in preheated oven for 23-25 minutes, or until edges are golden and toothpick comes out of the center clean.

Cool completely. Cut and enjoy!
