Caramelized Banana Cream Cheese Custard
1 tablespoon vegan buttery spread
¼ cup maple syrup (grade B)
½ teaspoon ground Saigon cinnamon
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
¼ teaspoon sea salt
3 bananas, peeled and diced
2 containers (8 oz) GO Veggie! Dairy Free Classic Plain Cream Cheese
3 tablespoons organic powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar, for topping *Optional
Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add vegan buttery spread and maple syrup to pan and bring to a simmer. Add cinnamon, lime juice, sea salt, and diced bananas. Cook for about 3-5 minutes over medium-low or until liquid has evaporated and bananas are caramelized.
Place caramelized banana mixture in a food processor or high-powered blender with 2 containers GO Veggie! Dairy Free Classic Plain Cream Cheese and powdered sugar. Blend until smooth.
Transfer to 4-6 individual dishes and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Garnish with cinnamon sugar, if desired.
